Vasai | July 28, 2025: – A horrific incident of sexual assault has rocked Vasai, where a 53-year-old school security guard was arrested for assaulting two minor students, aged 15 and 17, in a school canteen. The incident, which occurred in the third week of June within the jurisdiction of Arnala Sagari police station in Vasai taluka, has sparked widespread outrage among parents and the community.
The accused, employed as a security guard at the school, allegedly lured the two class 10 students to the canteen kitchen after school hours. There, he sexually harassed them, violating their safety in a place meant for learning and protection. The school and junior college manager promptly filed a complaint with the Arnala Sagari police, leading to the swift arrest of the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Following his arrest, the suspect was produced in court, where he was remanded to police custody for further investigation. The incident has left parents furious, with many demanding stringent punishment for the accused, whom they label as a predator.
