Bhandara | July 11, 2025 – In a disturbing incident in Sakoli, Bhandara district, a 45-year-old doctor, Dr. Devesh Agarwal, has been accused of molesting a 17-year-old girl who visited his Sham Hospital for treatment. The victim, accompanied by her mother, sought medical attention due to poor health. According to the complaint filed at Sakoli police station, Dr. Agarwal allegedly took the minor to the sonography room under the pretext of conducting a scan. Taking advantage of the absence of others in the room, he reportedly touched her inappropriately and attempted to molest her.
The victim promptly reported the incident to the authorities, leading to a case being registered against Dr. Agarwal under various sections, including the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse Act, and Sections 64(2)(1) and 65(1) of the relevant legal provisions. Following the registration of the case, the accused doctor allegedly absconded, and Sakoli police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
This incident has sparked outrage in the local community, raising serious concerns about patient safety in private medical facilities. The police are actively investigating the matter and urging anyone with information about Dr. Agarwal’s whereabouts to come forward.
