Prahar Party held a statewide Chakka Jam protest demanding farmer loan waivers and disabled rights. Major roadblocks hit Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Akola, and Pusad, with warnings of stronger protests ahead.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar| 24 July,2025: The Prahar Janshakti Party, led by MLA Bachchu Kadu, launched a statewide Chakka Jam protest today, intensifying its agitation over unfulfilled promises made to farmers and the disabled community. Protests were held across multiple districts, disrupting traffic and prompting police to enforce diversions.

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the protest was organized at Kranti Chowk, where party workers and leaders blocked roads demanding a complete loan waiver for farmers and increased support for the disabled. In view of the protest, traffic from Seven Hills to Session Court Signal and Gopal T to Silekhana Chowk was restricted. The police advised commuters to use alternative routes. Prominent leaders including former MP Imtiaz Jalil and Congress MP Kalyan Kale also extended their support.

Meanwhile, Jalna witnessed roadblocks at Jamwadi on Deulgaon Raja Road and on the Dhule–Solapur National Highway near Dungaon Phata. Protesters accused the Mahayuti government of betraying farmers by failing to implement the promised complete loan waiver, even after six months in power and the conclusion of the monsoon session.

In Pusad (Yavatmal district), a road blockade was staged at Pusad Naka affecting Akola–Nanded and Amravati–Pusad highways. Protesters demanded justice for farm laborers, disabled shepherds, and fishermen. Prahar district president Dilip Bhendekar warned of more intense protests if the demands remain unmet.

Akola too saw heavy disruption as Prahar Party workers, joined by farmer organizations, blocked the Akot–Shegaon and Akot–Akola roads near Deori Phata for about two hours. Protesters raised anti-government slogans, demanding a saat–bara kor (clean land record), full loan waivers, and an increase in monthly allowance for disabled citizens.

The Prahar Party has warned that if the government continues to ignore their demands, the agitation will escalate in the coming days.
