Pramod Kendre: An ex-Mumbai cop who transformed into a mastermind of chemical chaos. His setup, disguised as a medicine unit in the village of Rohina, was nothing short of a narcotics nest.
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence seized more than 11 kilograms of mephedrone during the raid — a cache valued at ₹15 crore on the international market. That’s not just powder. That’s powder wrapped in shattered futures.
But this isn’t a shocking one-off.
This is a pattern. Over the last few years, multiple such hidden labs have been unmasked — each built on lies, local backing, and terrifying silence.
Officers, or Enablers?
There’s something darker brewing beneath the surface. Sources hint at political names and uniformed facilitators with direct or indirect ties to these operations. When the law begins to fear its own reflection, where do the citizens run? What’s even worse? These drugs aren’t being peddled in shady corners anymore.
They’re slipping into schools, cafés, hostels, cinema halls, and even grocery stores. A vada pav in one hand, a packet of poison in the other — this is not the Maharashtra we grew up in.
Highways of Doom
Vehicles full of drugs are gliding through toll nakas unchecked. Places like Mulund, Vashi, and Dahisar are less checkpoint and more red carpet. Formalities are done. But checks? Not quite. Drugs cross city borders faster than ambulances in this state.
