The front door lock was shattered, and an iron cupboard and safe inside had been pried open. Gold ornaments, cash, and a mobile phone were gone, stolen while Mogal and his family were away in Barshi. The devastating discovery led Mogal to file a complaint with the Loni Kalbhor police, sparking a determined pursuit to catch the culprit.
Just nine days later, on July 23, the Loni Kalbhor police achieved a remarkable breakthrough. Using technical investigations and tips from informants, they tracked the thief to Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The suspect, 31-year-old Pratik Hirachand Lidkar, was apprehended in a carefully planned operation after police set a trap based on local intelligence and surveillance.
