Pune | 22 July, 2025: RTO Pune Team Saves Three Lives in Golden Hour After Bike Accident Near Shindewadi on Pune-Kolhapur Highway. A serious road accident occurred near Shindewadi on the Pune-Kolhapur Highway around 8:20 PM yesterday, when a two-wheeler skidded and crashed during a routine inspection conducted by the Regional Transport Office’s Highway Patrol Unit (Wayuveg Team No. 3).
On-duty officers — Sameer Shirodkar (Inspector of Motor Vehicle ), Shweta Narkhedkar (Asst. Inspector of Motor Vehicle), and driver Mahadev Mahale — immediately rushed to the scene. Upon inspection, they discovered three individuals seriously injured.
Acting swiftly within the critical “Golden Hour,” the team transported the injured to Shlok Hospital in Rajgad using a government vehicle. Doctors at the hospital reported that two adult women are in stable condition. However, one adult male sustained a serious head injury with internal bleeding in the brain and remains in critical condition.
The RTO team also promptly alerted the police by dialing the emergency helpline number 112. Basis quick and coordinated response of the RTO officials, the victims received timely medical care that likely saved their lives. Local residents and hospital staff have praised the officers for their dedication and prompt action.
