Activist Trupti Desai demanded BJP’s Nitin Dinkar’s resignation over alleged abuse of women. Complaints and video evidence accuse him of misconduct, misuse of power, and shielding himself using political connections.
Shrirampur | July 3, 2025: Activist Trupti Desai has raised serious allegations against Nitin Suresh Dinkar, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Uttar Nagar district president in Ahilyanagar, demanding his immediate resignation and expulsion from the party.
According to Desai, Dinkar has misused his political position to exploit women by luring them to dhabas and beer bars, where he would allegedly drink and force them to dance. Several women have approached the Bhumata Brigade office with written complaints against him, providing video evidence of these incidents, including one from a dhaba near Shrirampur in June.
Desai stated that Dinkar, who reportedly resides in a former minister’s government bungalow in Shrirampur, is protected by political influence and police cover. Some women alleged that Dinkar files false cases against anyone who speaks out against him and uses fear to silence dissent. He is said to be closely associated with Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, which has allegedly helped him avoid accountability so far.
In her formal email complaint to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Trupti Desai urged for immediate action, also sending copies to Minister Vikhe Patil, State BJP President Ravindra Desai, and Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde. She demanded that local BJP leaders provide accurate ground-level information to the Chief Minister regarding the allegations.
Desai emphasized that if the district-level president of a major political party is involved in such misconduct, it sets a dangerous precedent and must be stopped for the safety and dignity of women in politics and public life.
