Two youths, including a minor, were abducted from Mumbai and tortured in Pune over a loan dispute. One accused is arrested; three are absconding. Police investigation is underway.
Mumbai | July 12, 2025: A horrifying case of abduction and inhuman torture of two youths — including a minor — has come to light, where the victims were kidnapped from Mumbai and brutally assaulted in Pune over a loan-related dispute. The primary accused, Dilip Goswami, has been arrested, while police are searching for three other accused: Dheeraj, Panjubhai Goswami, and Bharat.
According to the police, on July 4, the two youths were lured into a car by the accused under false pretenses. During the journey from Mumbai to Pune, the victims were repeatedly punched and kicked inside the vehicle. Upon reaching Pune, the physical abuse continued. Later, the accused brought the victims back to Mumbai and took them to Dilip Goswami’s office in Bhuleshwar, where they were beaten with belts.
What’s more disturbing is that the victims have alleged that they were not only physically assaulted but also filmed during the abuse. One of the victims claimed inappropriate behavior by Dilip Goswami. The accused reportedly released them only after forcing a promise to return the borrowed money.
The minor boy informed his mother, who then approached the police. Based on the complaint, a case was registered, and Dilip Goswami was arrested. Efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest the other three accused.
Both victims are currently hospitalized and undergoing counseling. Police officials have prioritized the investigation, citing the serious nature of the incident.
