Pune | 07 June,2025:Following a temporary lull, monsoon showers have come back to Pune and Western Maharashtra regions with increasing temperatures and humidity. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Pune, Sangli, Satara, and Solapur, predicting moderate rains with gusty winds over the next 24 hours, beginning Saturday, June 7, 2025. The alert implies possible disruptions, advising people to remain vigilant.
In Pune district, a prolonged heatwave has maintained maximum temperatures at 33°C for the last 24 hours. Weather forecasts indicate a small decline in temperatures but issue a warning of moderate rainfall and stormy winds, issuing the yellow alert. The area is preparing for erratic weather, which may affect daily life.
Kolhapur had a highest temperature of 31°C in the past 24 hours, and 30 mm of rain. Regions such as Kagal experienced 20 mm, while Hatkanangle and Gargoti each had 10 mm. In the next 24 hours, the forecast shows cloudy with light showers, and the temperature could rise to 33°C.
Satara district, which experienced 15.3 mm of rain over the last 24 hours, will have a maximum of 33°C. Likewise, Sangli district, which has recently recorded a maximum temperature of 30.9°C along with light showers, has a yellow alert for probable rain along with lightning over the next 24 hours.
Solapur received scant rainfall of 2 mm but is likely to experience temperatures of 35°C. Yellow alert foretells moderate rain and squally winds in cloudy skies. With the monsoon gaining strength, people in these districts are advised to get ready for fluctuating weather.
