A man pushed his girlfriend to death from Daulatabad Ghat in Sambhajinagar after an argument. He later surrendered. Police have launched an investigation into the tragic and shocking incident.
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar | July 26, 2025 — In a deeply disturbing incident, a young woman lost her life after being allegedly pushed off the V-point of Daulatabad Ghat by her boyfriend following an argument. The shocking crime has sent waves of outrage and sorrow across the region.
The deceased has been identified as Deepali Tribhuvan, while the accused youth is Sunil Khandagale. According to initial police information, the two had visited the scenic V-point in Daulatabad on Thursday when a heated argument broke out between them. In a sudden act of violence, Sunil is said to have pushed Deepali off the edge, resulting in her death on the spot.
In a surprising turn, Sunil later surrendered himself at the Shiur police station. He was immediately taken into custody and is now being transferred to Daulatabad police, who have jurisdiction over the case.
A rescue operation was quickly launched by the fire brigade, and Deepali’s body was recovered and handed over to the police. A forensic team also reached the location to collect crucial evidence. Meanwhile, police have begun a detailed investigation into the incident and are trying to ascertain the exact reason behind the fatal argument.
The case has sparked discussions about relationship violence and the urgent need for mental health and conflict resolution support for young couples. Locals are demanding strict punishment for the accused and justice for Deepali.
