Pune, April 10,2025 – A tense situation unfolded in Kondhwa Budruk when a disturbed young man climbed onto the water tank of a four-storey building in a local housing society, wielding an iron rod and threatening nearby residents.
The youth reportedly refused to let anyone come close and even attacked those attempting to climb the ladder toward him. Residents immediately alerted the fire brigade, who arrived at the scene and managed to calm the youth down after a prolonged effort. The fire brigade personnel successfully brought him down safely.
However, as soon as he was brought to the ground, several angry residents allegedly attempted to assault him. The fire brigade then informed the police, who arrived promptly and took the youth to Kondhwa Police Station for further questioning.
According to local residents, the individual may have entered the society premises with the intent to steal. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact motive behind his actions.
