Dabhol | July 10,2025: In a shocking incident that has rocked Dabhol village in Dapoli taluka, a teacher from the Zilla Parishad School, Kishore Yewale, has been arrested for sexually abusing a minor student studying in class 5. The incident occurred on Monday, July 7, 2025, after school hours, when Yewale allegedly chased the girl while she was walking home, offered to drop her off, and forced her to ride on his bike.
Instead of taking her directly home, Yewale took advantage of the absence of her family members and behaved indecently with the girl at her residence. He further threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone. Despite the threat, the traumatized student confided in her neighbors, who promptly informed her parents. The parents rushed to the Dabhol Sagari police station and filed a complaint against Yewale.
The Dabhol police acted swiftly, arresting the accused teacher on Monday. He was produced before the District Sessions Court on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, which ordered 14 days of judicial custody. Yewale has been sent to jail, and the Dabhol Sagari police are continuing their investigation into the case.
In response to the incident, Vaidahi Ranade, Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, immediately suspended Yewale. On Wednesday, July 9, the Group Education Officer of Dapoli met with the victim’s parents and other school teachers to gather further details about the incident. The outrageous act has sparked widespread anger in the community, with residents demanding stringent action against the accused teacher.
This case adds to the growing concern over crimes against women and minors in Maharashtra, following recent incidents in Sangli and Akola. Authorities are under pressure to ensure justice for the victim and implement measures to prevent such atrocities in educational institutions.
