Sikar | 17 July, 2025: A tragic and heart-wrenching incident has surfaced from Rajasthan’s Sikar district, where a 9-year-old girl named Prachi Kumawat died suddenly while at school. The shocking nature of her death has left the local community in deep sorrow.
Prachi, a Class 4 student at Adarsh Vidya Mandir, had been absent for a few days due to cold and fever. She returned to school on Monday, attended the morning prayer, participated in class activities, and appeared normal. However, during the break, just as she opened her tiffin, she suddenly collapsed.
Teachers immediately rushed her to a nearby health centre. Doctors told NDTV that she had no heartbeat upon arrival. Despite being given CPR, oxygen, and emergency medicines, her condition kept worsening. After an hour and a half of trying to revive her, she was referred to a bigger hospital in Sikar, but sadly, she died on the way.
Doctors suspect an undiagnosed congenital heart defect may have led to sudden cardiac arrest. However, no post-mortem was conducted, as the family declined it. According to them, Prachi was always cheerful, active, and never showed any signs of serious illness.
The last video recorded at the school shows Prachi smiling and introducing herself. That short clip has now become a painful memory for her grieving family and teachers.
