
PMRDA and MIDC officials jointly inspected Hinjawadi for rainwater drainage, debris clearance, and civic issues. Urgent measures and strict actions were ordered to ensure monsoon preparedness across Phases 1 to 3.
Pune, June 16, 2025 : A joint inspection was conducted on Monday by PMRDA Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Deepak Singla and MIDC Joint CEO Vijay Rathod regarding rainwater drainage, road repair, and civic amenities in Hinjawadi Phase 1, 2, and 3, including the Metro corridor area.
Following the inspection, a key review meeting was held at the Hinjawadi Industrial Association office with concerned officials and staff. During the meeting, urgent measures were ordered near Dolphin and Sai Provison buildings to ensure proper rainwater drainage.

Instructions were also issued to immediately clear and properly dispose of the debris and construction waste lying along the Metro route and nearby areas. Additionally, strict action was ordered against companies releasing polluted water into natural streams.
Officials were directed to open blocked natural drains, remove obstacles and debris along the way, and undertake cleaning and repairs of the drainage lines.
The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Amol Tambe, PMRDA Chief Engineer Rinaz Pathan, Director of Planning and Permissions Sunil Marale, MIDC Chief Engineer Nitin Wankhede, Hinjawadi Traffic Police Inspector Prasad Gokule, along with officers from various departments.
On this occasion, officials were also instructed to immediately implement the decisions taken during a meeting chaired by PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase on June 11, 2025.
It is expected that these measures will significantly ease the rain-related difficulties faced by citizens and businesses in the Hinjawadi area during the upcoming monsoon season.
