Pune | June 06, 2025: After persistent follow-up and local efforts, the long-awaited development of Baneshwar Road in Nasrapur village is finally gaining momentum. Thanks to the continued guidance of MLA Shankar Mandekar and the proactive role of the Nasrapur Gram Panchayat, officials from the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) recently visited the area for a site inspection.
During the visit, PMRDA officers verified that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has cleared a total backing of ₹ 9 crore for the comprehensive improvement of the Baneshwar temple area. The fund will be used for multiple workshop including the construction of internal roads, devoted parking spaces, and beautification of the temple surroundings.
Following this update, members of the Gram Panchayat met Ajit Pawar at Devgiri Bungalow to express their gratitude and extended a formal invitation to attend the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the road work. In response, Pawar assured that he would participate once he returns to Pune.
Additionally, Sarpanch Usha Vikram Kadam handed over a memorandum to Pawar requesting urgent attention to unresolved civic needs such as solid waste management, a new water supply scheme, and essential road works. Pawar responded positively, promising quick action on all pending demands.
The announcement has brought a wave of relief and happiness to the residents of Nasrapur and devotees visiting the temple, as long-pending demands are finally being addressed.
In parallel, MP Supriya Sule’s continuous advocacy for improving the road connecting Nasrapur village to the Baneshwar temple has also borne fruit. The PMRDA has sanctioned ₹2.94 crore for this road, which is set to be fully concretized. The construction work is expected to begin in June.
