On Thursday, April 17, Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 40.3°C, with the Lohegaon region reaching an alarming 43°C — the highest of the season. The minimum temperature for the day was noted at 20.2°C.
Citizens have been feeling the heat, with a noticeable decrease in outdoor activity, especially around midday. To avoid health risks, medical professionals have recommended staying indoors as much as possible and limiting outdoor exposure during the hottest parts of the day.
