
A speeding car crashed into a bungalow on Kalvan-Nashik road, killing five including four women and a child. Two were seriously injured. The victims were returning from a wedding ceremony

Pune | 05 June, 2025: In a tragic late-night accident near Kolhapur Phata on the Kalvan-Nashik Road, a speeding car lost control and rammed into a roadside bungalow, killing five people and critically injuring two. The incident occurred around 10 PM on Wednesday when the Bhadan family from Nampur was returning to Satana after attending a wedding.
The deceased include four women and the driver:
- Shaila Vasant Bhadan (62)
- Sarla Bhalchandra Bhadan (50)
- Driver Khalik Mehmood Pathan (50)
- Madhavi Metkar (32)
- Triveni Metkar (4)
All were residents of Deola. Bhalchandra Bhadan (52) from Nampur and Utkarsh Metkar (12) from Deola sustained severe injuries and are under treatment.
This tragic mishap has left the family in mourning, as families returning from celebration were suddenly plunged into loss.
What was meant to be a joyful return from a wedding ended in unimaginable tragedy on the Kalvan-Nashik road. In a matter of seconds, five lives were lost, including women and a child, leaving families devastated and communities in shock. The incident has once again raised serious concerns about road safety and speeding on state highways. For the grieving families of Deola and Nampur, the celebration turned into a permanent scar—one that no words or condolences can heal.
