At Shiv Sena’s anniversary in Mumbai, Uddhav Thackeray launched a fiery attack on the Shinde faction and BJP, challenging opponents with dramatic warnings and declaring his readiness to fight.
Mumbai, June 19: On the occasion of Shiv Sena’s foundation day, a grand event was held by the Thackeray faction at Shanmukhanand Hall in Mumbai, where party chief Uddhav Thackeray delivered a fiery and emotionally charged speech, directly targeting rebel leaders and the BJP.
In a dramatic tone that echoed classic Bollywood bravado, Thackeray said,
“I’m standing in front of these traitors—if you have the courage, come kill me. But come with an ambulance, like in Amitabh Bachchan’s film. Come straight while arriving, go sideways when leaving.”
This bold remark, drawing a cinematic reference to Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar’s iconic roles, was aimed at those he considers backstabbers—clearly alluding to the Shinde group, which split the original Shiv Sena.
Taking a direct swipe at the BJP and Shinde camp, Thackeray warned:
“If you think you can erase the Shiv Sena’s brand and legacy, then let me tell you—we will erase your existence from Maharashtra. Not just your name, but your trace.”
Thackeray reminded the audience of Shiv Sena’s active role during the 1992-93 Mumbai riots, saying,
“We didn’t hide. We were on the streets. And I’m still ready—just like then.”
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader used this occasion not just to recall past struggles but also to energize party workers, reinforcing that the fight for the party’s identity and legacy is far from over.
As the political battle in Maharashtra continues to intensify, Thackeray’s words have added fresh fire to the already heated rivalry between the Shinde and Thackeray factions—with both camps eyeing control over Shiv Sena’s brand and vote base.
