Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar | June 28, 2025: A deeply disturbing incident has shocked Vaijapur in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, where respected female Kirtankar H.B.P. Sangeetatai Maharaj was brutally murdered inside her ashram late at night. The assailant, still unidentified, entered the premises around midnight on June 27 and attacked her with a stone, fatally crushing her head.
The savagery of the attack has left the local community stunned. According to preliminary reports, the attacker struck her multiple times on the head, causing severe injuries that resulted in immediate death. She was found lying in a pool of blood, sparking panic among nearby devotees and locals.
Upon receiving the information, the Vaijapur police swiftly reached the scene. A panchnama was conducted, and the body was sent for post-mortem examination. The forensic team and dog squad were also called to assist in evidence collection, as officials began their probe into the horrifying murder.
As of now, the motive behind the crime remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified. The police are examining CCTV footage in the vicinity and speaking to ashram members and locals to trace possible leads.
