Pune, October 29, 2025 – The Maharashtra Police Department has announced a large-scale recruitment drive for 15,631 posts across the state. The online application process has officially begun on October 29 and will continue till November 30, 2025. This recruitment aims to fill several key positions including Police Constable (Shipai), Driver Constable, Bandsman, Prison Guard, and posts under the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF). The government has also introduced a relaxation in age eligibility this year for candidates who missed the chance to apply in previous recruitment years between 2022 and 2025.

The selection process will consist of two stages: a physical test and a written exam. The physical test will carry 50 marks, while the written exam will carry 100 marks. Only candidates securing at least 50% in the physical test will be eligible for the written exam. A minimum of 40% marks in the written exam will be required to qualify for final selection. The final merit list will be prepared based on a combined total of 150 marks.

Candidates are advised to carefully go through the official notification before applying to understand the detailed eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, and physical requirements. The recruitment drive provides a major opportunity for aspirants across Maharashtra to join the state’s police force and serve in various districts.
