Iranian Artist Hasti Rajabi’s ‘Becoming’ Exhibition Opens in Pune, Exploring Transformation and Self-Discovery

Iranian artist Hasti Rajabi presents “Becoming” at Vesavar Art Gallery, Pune, from November 2–11, 2025 ,a reflective exhibition exploring transformation, healing, and emotional evolution through abstract mixed-media art.

Pune|November 05, 2025: Iranian multidisciplinary artist Hasti Rajabi is set to showcase her solo exhibition “Becoming” at Vesavar Art Gallery, Camp, Pune, from November 2 to 11, 2025. The exhibition, inaugurated by political analyst and art enthusiast Tehseen Poonawalla, delves into themes of transformation, healing, and self-discovery through abstract mixed-media artworks.

Rajabi, who was born in Iran and now lives in India, has been painting since childhood. For many years, she created privately, using art as a form of emotional expression. During the pandemic, her work evolved into a deeply personal reflection on growth, resilience, and rediscovery. Through “Becoming”, she shares this intimate journey publicly, encouraging women to embrace their creativity as a source of strength and freedom.

Her paintings blend Persian cultural motifs with contemporary abstraction, weaving layers of texture and calligraphy that symbolize movement from silence to expression. “Becoming is not about completion,” Rajabi says. “It’s about embracing change. Each color and layer holds a story of pain, peace, and transformation.”

The exhibition aligns with Vesavar Art Gallery’s philosophy of showcasing art that mirrors emotional evolution. Founder Kavita Bhandari said, “Hasti’s art embodies resilience and self-awareness, inviting audiences to reflect on their own inner growth.” Co-founder Pranali Harpude added, “Her work transforms vulnerability into beauty and reminds us that life, like art, is a continuous act of becoming.”
