Mumbai, November 15, 2025: Veteran Bollywood actress Kamini Kaushal passed away on November 14, 2025, at her home in Mumbai. She was 98 years old.Her death marks the end of a remarkable cinematic journey that lasted for nearly seven decades.

Kaushal began her acting career with the film Neecha Nagar (1946), which won top honors at the inaugural Cannes Film Festival.Over the years, she delivered memorable performances in films such as Shaheed, Biraj Bahu, and Do Raaste. Later in her career, she transitioned into character roles and remained active well into her 90s. She appeared in modern films including Chennai Express, Kabir Singh earning a Filmfare nomination and made her final on-screen appearance at age 95 in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.

Her passing brought a wave of tributes from across the film industry. Actors like Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, who worked with her in Kabir Singh, remembered her with affection, calling it an honor to share screen space with her.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also expressed her grief, sharing cherished memories of the veteran actress.

Known for her grace, versatility, and dignified presence, Kamini Kaushal leaves behind a legacy that bridges generations. She is survived by her three sons: Shravan, Vidur, and Rahul Sood.
