Maharashtra Civil Service Officers Complete Six-Day Civil-Military Fusion Training at Aundh to Strengthen Leadership, Crisis Response, and Operational Coordination

From 1–6 December 2025, 157 probationary officers of Maharashtra Civil Services underwent Civil-Military Fusion training at Aundh, enhancing leadership, crisis management, and interoperability between civil and military operations.

Pune|09 December 2025: A six-day Civil-Military Fusion training program concluded on 6 December 2025 at the Military Civil Fusion and Foreign Training Node, Aundh Military Station. Conducted under Headquarters Southern Command, the program engaged 157 Class-II Probationary Officers from batch 11-2025 of VANAMATI, Nagpur, including 48 female and 109 male officers.

The training aimed to familiarize future Maharashtra administrators with Army ethos in leadership, decision-making, and crisis management. By fostering true jointmanship, it aligns civil and military operations, promotes sharing of best practices, and builds mutual trust for seamless coordination. This enhanced interoperability enables rapid response in emergencies, benefiting both services during complex operations.

The program addressed the evolving challenges of hybrid warfare, asymmetric conflicts, natural disasters, and humanitarian crises. Officers gained insights into military protocols and operations, while understanding how civil administration functions under stress. This mutual awareness is expected to improve collaboration and institutional relationships between civil authorities and the Army.

Participants engaged in unit-level exercises, administrative activities, and real-world scenario simulations. The experience allowed probationers to understand daily military operations, leadership challenges, and crisis preparedness firsthand. These insights are expected to strengthen their capability to make strategic decisions in high-pressure situations.

The initiative reflects Maharashtra’s commitment to governance strengthened by civil-military synergy. By providing realistic exposure to military functions, leadership dynamics, and operational planning, the training equips officers to respond effectively to both security and disaster-related challenges.Overall, the Civil-Military Fusion program fosters future civil leaders capable of coordinating with the Army, enhancing operational efficiency, and contributing to nation-building through integrated governance and crisis management.
