Republic Day Parade 2026 Winners Announced: Indian Navy, Delhi Police, and Top Tableaux Honoured

The Indian Navy and Delhi Police won best marching contingent awards, while States, UTs, and Ministries were recognised for their tableaux, with popular choice results also declared online

New Delhi, January 30, 2026: The Ministry of Defence announced the results of the Best Marching Contingents and Best Tableaux for the Republic Day Parade 2026 today. Three separate panels of judges evaluated the performances of contingents from the three Services, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), other auxiliary forces, and tableaux presented by States, Union Territories, and Central Ministries/Departments.

In the official categories, the Indian Navy was adjudged the Best Marching Contingent among the three Services, while the Delhi Police won the top honour among CAPFs and other auxiliary forces. The top three tableaux from States and Union Territories were recognised as Maharashtra (Ganeshotsav: A Symbol of Aatmanirbharta), Jammu & Kashmir (Handicrafts and Folk Dances of Jammu & Kashmir), and Kerala (Water Metro & 100% Digital Literacy: Aatmanirbhar Kerala for Aatmanirbhar Bharat). Among Central Ministries/Departments, the Ministry of Culture received the award for its tableau titled Vande Mataram- The Soul Cry of a Nation. A special prize was also conferred on the Central Public Works Department for its Vande Mataram- Commemoration of 150 Years tableau, along with the dance group ‘Vande Mataram: The Eternal Resonance of India’.

The popular choice awards, based on an online poll conducted on the MyGov portal, recognised the Assam Regiment and CRPF as the best marching contingents among Services and CAPFs, respectively. The top tableaux voted by citizens included Gujarat (Mantra of Swadeshi -Self-Reliance -Freedom: Vande Mataram), Uttar Pradesh (Culture of Bundelkhand), and Rajasthan (Golden Touch of the Desert: Bikaner Gold Art – Usta Art). The Department of School Education & Literacy won the best Central Ministry tableau for showcasing the National Education Policy 2020.

These awards highlight the creativity, discipline, and cultural diversity displayed during the 77th Republic Day celebrations, honouring both official selections and citizen preferences in the popular vote category.
