Pune | 09 February 2026 – Residents of Raheja Vista Premiere, a prominent high-rise residential complex in Pune’s NIBM Annexe area, have expressed serious concern after repeated fire safety incidents triggered panic in the society. The most recent incident occurred when an air-conditioning compressor caught fire on the seventh floor of Tower 5, activating the building’s fire alarm system and prompting residents to evacuate quickly. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the situation was brought under control, but the episode has raised alarms about safety protocols in high-rise living.

Residents highlighted that these are not isolated incidents; false alarms and minor emergencies have reportedly become frequent, causing frustration and concern. Many noted that repeated activations could lead to complacency among residents, who might ignore alarms during real emergencies, thereby increasing risk. Families have called for stronger preventive measures and more transparent reporting from the building management.
