Prayagraj| February 22, 2026: A Special POCSO Court in Prayagraj has ordered the registration of an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple in connection with allegations of sexual abuse of minors.

The case was initiated following a petition filed by Ashutosh Brahmachari. The court recorded statements of the minors through video testimony to ensure their safety and accuracy. Based on the preliminary police report, the court directed the Jhunsi police station to formally register the FIR and begin immediate investigation.

The court emphasized that police must take prompt action against the accused and ensure that the investigation is thorough, impartial, and transparent. Authorities have already started collecting evidence, witness statements, and other relevant information to proceed with the case.
