67 Kuwaiti Soldiers Wounded as Regional Tensions Escalate Following Iranian Missile Strikes
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence confirmed that 67 soldiers have been injured following a series of retaliatory strikes by Iran, marking the highest casualty count among Gulf military forces recently.

March 07, 2026 | KUWAIT CITY: In a significant escalation of regional hostilities, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced early Friday that 67 of its military personnel have been wounded since the onset of Iran’s recent retaliation campaign. Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, stated during a press briefing that while the soldiers are receiving urgent medical care and remain in stable condition, the sheer number of casualties reflects the intensity of the current conflict.

The Ministry reported that Kuwaiti air defense systems have been working around the clock, successfully identifying and intercepting 212 ballistic missiles and 394 drones launched into its airspace. Despite these interceptions, the strikes have caused significant damage and loss of life.

The presence of major U.S. military installations, such as Camp Arifjan and the Ali Al-Salem Air Base, has placed Kuwait at the center of the strategic crossfire. Colonel Al-Atwan emphasized that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces remain at the highest state of readiness, maintaining constant coordination with international security partners to protect the nation’s sovereignty and its citizens
