Railway authorities highlighted that the arrangement of special trains is part of a broader strategy to manage the huge influx of travellers over the World Cup weekend. With flights already heavily booked and airfares rising due to demand, trains provide an affordable and reliable option for fans planning to attend the final. Officials also noted that in addition to the special trains, the railways have ramped up security and customer support, including additional staff at major stations, real-time updates on train schedules, and measures to handle large crowds efficiently. The combined approach is aimed at providing a comfortable, safe, and well-organized journey for thousands of cricket enthusiasts attending one of the biggest sporting events of the year.
These measures underscore the railways’ proactive role in supporting national sports events while ensuring public safety and convenience.
