India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to lead ICC T20 rankings, while Suryakumar Yadav climbs to seventh despite inactivity, reflecting minor reshuffles in the latest global standings

Dubai | 26 March, 2026: The International Cricket Council has released its latest T20 batting rankings, with India’s Abhishek Sharma retaining the number one position with 875 rating points. Close behind him is fellow Indian opener Ishan Kishan, who holds the second spot with 871 points, while Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan is placed third with 848 points.

England’s Phil Salt and Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka occupy the fourth and fifth positions respectively. India’s young batter Tilak Varma remains steady at sixth place with 742 rating points.

One of the notable developments in the rankings is the rise of Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, who has climbed two spots to reach seventh position with 722 points, despite not featuring in recent matches. The movement comes amid limited international T20 fixtures in recent weeks, leading to only marginal changes in the rankings.Meanwhile, South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has slipped down to tenth position, largely due to inactivity in recent series. England’s Jos Buttler currently holds the ninth spot in the updated list.

With fewer matches being played, the rankings have seen stability at the top, but minor shifts continue to reflect changes in player form and participation.
