Chitra Mete honoured as ‘Pune Icon 2026’ for contribution to branding, communication and CSR

Chitra Mete was honoured as ‘Pune Icon 2026’ at NewsDotz Conclave 2026 for her contribution to branding, strategic communication, CSR and creative campaigns.

Pune: Chitra Mete, an award-winning entrepreneur, creative strategist and arts and culture advocate, was honoured with the ‘Pune Icon 2026’ recognition at the NewsDotz Conclave 2026, organised recently at Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel, for her outstanding contribution to branding, strategic communication, CSR and creative campaigns.

The NewsDotz Conclave 2026, centred on the theme ‘Pune Rising’, brought together political leadership, the administration, industry, media and citizens to discuss Pune’s rapid growth and transformation. With the city developing at an unprecedented pace, the conclave emphasised the importance of collective dialogue and participation in shaping Pune’s future. Among the prominent participants were Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar (IPS), Manoj Patil (IPS), Shrinath Bhimale, Chairman of the Standing Committee, Prajit Nair, Additional PMC Commissioner, senior journalist Prashant Aher, Aditya Javdekar, CEO, VJ Developers, architect Hrishikesh Kulkarni, Vimalendra Singh, CBO, Mahindra Lifespaces, Harish ShroA, Director, Nyati Group, and Bidisha of VTP Realty.

Mete is the Founder and Managing Director of Chaitra Creations & Publicity and Managing Director of Ideamint. She has extensive expertise in IEC, branding, strategic communication, CSR 1 and creative campaigns, and has worked with government departments, corporates and social organisations on impactful awareness and communication initiatives.

She has also made significant contributions to the promotion of Indian arts and culture through initiatives associated with the Sumbara Art Foundation and Bombay Art Society. Mete’s work has been recognised through several honours, including the Maharashtra Udyogini Award, Maxell Award, CSR Health Impact Award and Iconic Social Entrepreneur Award 2025. The ‘Pune Icon 2026’ recognition acknowledges her continued contribution to branding, strategic communication, social initiatives and creative campaigns.
