Youth Stabbed to Death Near ITI Ground in Pashan Over Money Dispute; Three Booked

A 33-year-old man died after an alleged stabbing near ITI Ground in Pashan over a ₹3 lakh money dispute. Baner police have booked three people.

PUNE: A 33-year-old man died after allegedly being stabbed during a dispute over a financial transaction near the gate of ITI Ground in Pashan, Pune. Baner police have registered a case against three people in connection with the incident.

The incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 pm on Sunday, October 11. The deceased has been identified as Sahdev Ramprakash Sharma, a resident of Susgaon, who worked in share trading.

Dispute Over ₹3 Lakh Loan

According to the police complaint, Sharma’s friend, Dnyaneshwar Bhoi, had borrowed ₹3 lakh from one of the accused, identified as Bunty alias Ashish Chakranarayan. A dispute had reportedly developed over repayment of the money, and Sharma had been mediating between the two.

On Sunday night, Sharma and his friend Omkar Doiphode were reportedly walking near ITI Ground when the accused allegedly confronted Sharma. An argument reportedly broke out over his role in the financial dispute and an alleged misunderstanding involving remarks about the accused’s family.

Attacked With a Sharp Weapon

According to the complaint, the argument escalated into an assault. The accused allegedly attacked Sharma with a sharp weapon and continued to assault him after he fell. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died during treatment.

The accused allegedly fled the scene after the incident.

Baner Police Investigating

Sharma’s brother, Krishna Ramprakash Sharma, lodged the complaint at Baner police station. Police have registered a case against three people and are searching for the accused.

The investigation is underway to establish the full sequence of events and determine the individual roles of those named in the complaint.
