Amit Shah to Headline Guru Teg Bahadur 350th Martyrdom Commemoration in Nanded

Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirms attendance at Nanded’s Hind Di Chadar event marking Guru Teg Bahadur’s 350th martyrdom alongside Yogi Adityanath Dhirendra Shastri​

Nanded|23 January,2026: Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah accepted invitation to attend the grand Hind Di Chadar program commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib at Nanded’s Modi Maidan on January 24-25, 2026. Maharashtra State Level Samagam Committee delegation met Shah in New Delhi presenting formal invitation which he graciously accepted confirming presence between 2 PM to 5 PM on January 25 ensuring high-profile national participation.

Committee representatives including Poharadevi Mahant Babusing Maharaj (Co-Chairman), Samanvay Samiti President Ramsing Maharaj, Gurudwara Administrator Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh, Coordinator Rameshwar Naik, Co-coordinator Jaspal Singh, members Charandeep Singh Satish Nihlani and co-inviter Tejasinh Bawri attended the Delhi courtesy call. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Bagheswar Dham’s Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri confirmed attendance for January 24 opening ceremony elevating event’s national significance considerably.

Organized at Modi Maidan Waghala Nanded honoring Guru Teg Bahadur known as Hind Di Chadar for sacrificing life protecting Hindu faith during Mughal persecution, program draws devotees nationwide. Railways announced special trains from Hazrat Nizamuddin Chandigarh Mumbai facilitating pilgrimage with compositions including AC Sleeper General coaches ensuring comfortable journey to Hazur Sahib Nanded.

Nanded administration imposed temporary protest ban from January 22-27 maintaining law order during massive gatherings coinciding Republic Day celebrations preventing potential disruptions around key statues government offices strategically. Event underscores Guru Teg Bahadur’s timeless religious national legacy resonating across communities while highlighting Nanded’s spiritual importance as Hazur Sahib Gurudwara location marking historic Sikh heritage site authentically.​
