Beed/Pune, April 18, 2025 – In a shocking incident that has triggered public outrage, a woman lawyer from Senegaon village in Ambajogai taluka, Beed district, was allegedly brutally assaulted by the village sarpanch and his supporters after she filed a complaint regarding noise pollution caused by loudspeakers and a flour mill near her residence.

According to sources, the lawyer—who practices at the Ambajogai Sessions Court—had officially lodged a complaint requesting the removal of the flour mill and loudspeakers, citing health concerns including severe migraines due to continuous noise. Her complaint reportedly angered the village sarpanch.
In retaliation, the sarpanch, along with 10 supporters, allegedly ambushed the lawyer in a nearby field. They reportedly formed a circle around her and assaulted her with sticks and pipes. Due to the severity of the attack, the lawyer lost consciousness. She was later taken to a hospital, treated overnight, and then discharged.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with local residents demanding strict legal action against those involved. There are growing calls for the immediate arrest of the sarpanch and his accomplices.
The NewsDotz team attempted to reach Beed Superintendent of Police Navneet Kanvat but was directed to Additional SP Chetna Tidke, who in turn referred the matter to API Shendage. However, no official update was provided despite repeated follow-ups.
