Bharat Parv 2026, held at Delhi’s Red Fort from January 26 to 31, celebrated India’s cultural, culinary and artistic diversity, marking Republic Day and the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’.

New Delhi|January 31,2026:As the echoes of India’s 77th Republic Day celebrations faded, the historic Red Fort transformed into a vibrant cultural landscape with the commencement of Bharat Parv 2026, a six-day national cultural and tourism festival organised by the Ministry of Tourism.

Held annually since 2016, Bharat Parv took place from January 26 to January 31 at the Lawns and Gyan Path in front of the Red Fort. The festival aims to promote India’s rich cultural, artistic, culinary and spiritual heritage while advancing the national initiatives “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and “Dekho Apna Desh.”

This year’s edition carried special significance as it marked the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’, the iconic patriotic song composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and later set to music by Rabindranath Tagore. The theme reflected both India’s revolutionary past and its constitutional spirit of unity in diversity.

A major attraction was the display of 41 Republic Day tableaux, representing States, Union Territories and Central Ministries, offering visitors an up-close view of the narratives showcased on Kartavya Path. Cultural diversity was further highlighted through 48 folk and classical performances, along with 22 musical presentations by Armed Forces and paramilitary bands.

The festival’s expansive food court, featuring over 60 stalls, showcased regional cuisines from across India, while a handicrafts and handloom bazaar with 102 stalls displayed traditional textiles, crafts and artworks. Tourism pavilions and interactive exhibits encouraged public participation, blending heritage with modern engagement.

The festival concluded on January 31, 2026, with the Vice President of India attending the closing ceremony, reinforcing Bharat Parv’s role as a living reflection of India’s Republic and its people.
