Pune | December 3, 2025: Early Wednesday morning, an international school in Hinjawadi received an email claiming a bomb had been planted on its campus. The threat caused immediate panic among parents, students and staff. The school management alerted police without delay, prompting a swift response from local authorities.

Teams from the Hinjawadi police station, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), and the Dog Squad reached the campus quickly. As a precaution, all students and staff were safely evacuated before the search began. Officers conducted a thorough inspection of buildings, grounds and common areas, though no suspicious objects were found.

Officials say the nature of the email appears similar to past hoax bomb threats directed at educational institutions. Investigation teams are now working to trace the origin of the email, while surveillance has been tightened around the school area. Police have urged public calm and cautioned against spreading unverified rumours or messages.

Parents expressed relief that the situation was handled with urgency and care, but also raised concerns about repeated safety scares at educational institutions. Civic authorities have assured that security protocols will be reviewed and reinforced to ensure student safety and quick responses to future threats.
