Pune, December 17, 2025 – A Pune-based businessman has reported receiving a serious extortion threat in which the sender warned him using the term “Mulshi pattern” and threatened to kill him if demands were not fulfilled. According to the complaint, the businessman, who runs a tours and travels business, received a threatening audio message on his phone. In the message, the unknown caller allegedly demanded money and issued a chilling warning, stating that failure to comply would result in violent consequences. The use of the phrase “Mulshi pattern” was intended to intimidate the victim by invoking fear associated with violent criminal behaviour.
Shaken by the threat, the businessman approached the police and submitted the audio message as evidence. Police officials said the message clearly amounts to criminal intimidation and extortion.
