Central Railway to Operate 24 Special Trains on Sunday for Diwali and Chhath Puja Festivals
In response to the festive travel rush, Central Railway has announced 24 special trains for Sunday, connecting key destinations across Mumbai, Pune, and Solapur divisions.
Maharashtra |October 24,2025: To accommodate the anticipated surge in passengers during the Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, Central Railway has announced the operation of 24 special trains this Sunday. These trains aim to ease the travel experience for passengers journeying to various destinations.
The special services will operate across the Mumbai, Pune, and Solapur divisions, connecting major stations such as Banaras, Danapur, Gorakhpur, Latur, Gomti Nagar, Mau, Saharsa, Sanganer, Ghazipur City, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Kalaburagi, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Bikaner, and others.
Passengers can book tickets for these special trains through computerized reservation centers or the IRCTC website. Given the high demand during the festive season, it is advisable to make reservations at the earliest to secure seats.
This initiative by Central Railway is part of a broader effort to manage the increased travel demand during the festive period, ensuring safe and comfortable journeys for all passengers.
