CSMT–Solapur and Hubli–Pune Vande Bharat Trains to Get New Stops at Daund and Kirloskarwadi
CSMT–Solapur
The CSMT–Solapur and Hubli–Pune Vande Bharat Express trains will now halt at Daund and Kirloskarwadi stations, improving regional connectivity and passenger convenience.
Pune, October 28, 2025 – Passengers on two key Vande Bharat Express routes will soon have more convenient boarding options. The Central Railway has approved new halts for the CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat Express and the Hubli–Pune Vande Bharat Express, adding Daund and Kirloskarwadi stations to their schedules.
The CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat Express (train number 22225/22226) will now include a stop at Daund station, giving travelers from the Daund region easier access to the premium high-speed service. Meanwhile, the Hubli–Pune Vande Bharat Express (train number 20669/20670) will begin halting at Kirloskarwadi, benefiting commuters from Sangli district and nearby areas.
According to railway officials, these halts are being introduced on a trial basis. If passenger response and operational performance are satisfactory, the new stops may become permanent additions to the routes.
As per the current schedule, the Hubli–Pune Vande Bharat departs Hubli at 5 a.m., reaches Kirloskarwadi at around 9:45 a.m., and arrives in Pune by 1:30 p.m. On the return journey, it leaves Pune at 2:15 p.m., stops at Kirloskarwadi around 5:40 p.m., and reaches Hubli by approximately 10:45 p.m.
The CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat leaves Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 4:05 p.m., halts at major stations like Dadar, Thane, and Kalyan, reaches Pune by 7:10 p.m., and arrives at Solapur by 10:40 p.m. With Daund now included, passengers from that region will have quicker access to the route, eliminating the need to travel to Pune or Solapur to board the train.
Railway authorities said the decision was taken to improve regional connectivity and meet long-standing passenger demand from both Daund and Kirloskarwadi. These halts are expected to boost travel convenience for students, professionals, and frequent commuters who rely on fast intercity transport between western Maharashtra cities.
The new arrangement reflects Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to make Vande Bharat services more accessible and responsive to passenger needs. Travelers have been advised to check updated timetables and ticket availability before booking, as the halts are initially experimental and may be adjusted based on feedback.
The addition of Daund and Kirloskarwadi to the Vande Bharat network is likely to increase passenger footfall and strengthen connectivity between Pune, Solapur, Sangli, and surrounding regions, offering faster and more efficient travel options within Maharashtra.
