Ducati India’s Pune visit focused on inspiring ambition, discipline and safe riding among young people while highlighting career development opportunities in underserved communities.
Pune | March 13, 2026: Representatives of Ducati India visited the Lighthouse Communities Foundation centre in Wadgaonsheri to engage with local youth and promote key messages around ambition, discipline, road safety and career guidance. The initiative brought together corporate, non‑profit and community partners to create an empowering platform for young people from disadvantaged areas of the city.

The event on Wednesday formed part of Ducati India’s corporate social responsibility outreach, facilitated by the Rotary Club of Pune Riverside and hosted at the Lighthouse centre, which focuses on equipping youth with life skills, career support and employability training. During the interaction, Ducati’s leadership team shared insights on the importance of perseverance, self‑discipline and safe behaviour on the roads – especially in a fast‑paced urban environment like Pune.
Vishal Goyal, Director and Chief Financial Officer of Ducati India Private Limited, addressed the gathered students and encouraged them to embrace determination and focus as they pursue their goals. “Discipline is not only about riding a motorcycle at speed. It is also about how you approach every challenge in life,” Goyal told the youth, emphasising that consistent effort and dedication can unlock opportunities across fields.

Students from the Lighthouse centre shared their personal journeys, aspirations and challenges with the Ducati delegation, illustrating the impact of guidance and mentorship on their outlook for the future. The interactive session also offered an opportunity for participants to learn about different career paths, the importance of setting goals, and maintaining responsible attitudes -both on and off the road.
Members of the Ducati team highlighted the significance of road safety awareness, discussing responsible riding practices and the role of safe behaviour in reducing accidents – a crucial issue in urban India where traffic safety remains a concern for both riders and pedestrians. This aligns with broader road safety efforts seen across Pune, where community campaigns and official programmes seek to reduce road crashes and promote safer travel habits among young people and commuters alike.
Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Co‑founder and Chairman of Lighthouse Communities Foundation, said such engagements help bridge gaps in access and opportunity for youth from underserved backgrounds. He noted that initiatives like these reinforce young people’s confidence and provide valuable exposure to corporate perspectives, thereby strengthening their career readiness.
The Lighthouse Communities Foundation operates through a public‑private partnership model in which government agencies provide space and infrastructure while private sector partners support programme implementation and funding. The foundation runs a range of initiatives focused on career guidance, life skills development, and employment support for youth in Pune’s urban communities.
Ducati India’s engagement at the Wadgaonsheri centre underscores the growing trend of corporate involvement in community development programmes that foster youth empowerment, road safety awareness and sustainable career pathways. Such collaborations not only benefit local young people through direct interaction and mentorship, but also contribute to creating safer, better‑informed communities.
