FIR Registered After Attempt to Seize Senior Citizen’s Bungalow in Gultekdi, Pune
A case has been filed in Pune against land-grab suspects who tried to encroach on an 80-year-old’s bungalow in Gultekdi.
Pune, November 01, 2025: A shocking incident has come to light in Pune’s Gultekdi area where a group of men allegedly attempted to take illegal possession of an 80-year-old man’s bungalow. According to police, the accused arrived with construction equipment and began demolishing parts of the compound wall, seemingly to grab the property. The senior citizen immediately lodged a complaint, leading to prompt police action.
Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered against multiple individuals, including a builder, a contractor, and a JCB operator, under various sections related to trespassing, property damage, and criminal intimidation. Investigations are underway to verify property documents and identify any additional suspects involved in the planned encroachment.
Preliminary findings indicate that the accused may have targeted the property due to its prime location and redevelopment potential. Authorities intervened in time and stopped the demolition before further damage occurred.
The case has once again highlighted the growing threat of land grabbing and property fraud, especially targeting senior citizens who live alone. Police have urged elderly homeowners to remain alert, ensure their property papers are updated, and immediately report any suspicious activity.
