Gold, Silver, and Cash Worth ₹19 Lakh Stolen from Locked House in Jaripatka’s Adarsh Colony
A significant burglary occurred in Nagpur’s Adarsh Colony, Jaripatka, where an unidentified thief broke into a locked house and stole gold, silver, and cash valued at ₹19 lakh.
Nagpur, October 4, 2025 — In a daring daylight burglary, an unidentified thief broke into a locked residence in Adarsh Colony, Jaripatka, and made off with gold and silver ornaments along with cash, totaling an estimated ₹19 lakh.
The incident came to light when the homeowners returned home on October 3 to find their front door ajar and the interior ransacked. Upon further inspection, they discovered that the thief had gained entry by breaking the main door lock. The stolen items included gold and silver jewelry valued at ₹7.55 lakh and cash amounting to ₹11.45 lakh.
Jaripatka police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the thief was captured on CCTV footage entering and exiting the premises. Authorities are analyzing the footage to identify the suspect and determine the method used to bypass the security measures.
This incident has raised concerns among residents about the safety of their homes and the effectiveness of existing security measures. Local authorities have urged homeowners to enhance their security systems and remain vigilant to prevent such occurrences in the future.
