Pawar declared, “If you listen to me, I will listen to you,” swiftly adding that this was a “request, not a threat,” anticipating potential backlash.

KHED (Rajgurunagar) December, 1, 2025 : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar made a provocative appeal to voters in Rajgurunagar, Khed taluka, during an election rally for Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidates. Linking development directly to electoral victory, Pawar declared, “If you listen to me, I will listen to you,” swiftly adding that this was a “request, not a threat,” anticipating potential backlash.

Pawar’s core message to the gathered electorate was straightforward: if they desired development, they must ensure the victory of all NCP candidates. He emphasized that the reciprocal relationship—where he would attend to their demands only after they delivered votes—was simply a ‘request’ from his side.

The Development Pledge and Administrative Grip
Focusing heavily on infrastructure, Pawar promised to resolve local traffic congestion by improving public transport. He asserted that the Metro, which has already reached Chakan, could be extended to Rajgurunagar, claiming, “Only I have the capability to bring the Metro here.” He used this promise to underscore his strong administrative control and experience, arguing that electing his party was the only path to tangible progress.
Strong Defence Against Corruption Allegations

The Deputy CM also used the platform to issue a stern defence against persistent corruption charges. “I am a man of work, and I have a firm grip on the administration,” he stated. Hitting back at allegations regarding the purported ₹70,000 crore scam, Pawar challenged his critics: “I am not indebted for a single rupee. Show me one instance where I took money or where someone had to pay a bribe for their work.” He stressed that, on the contrary, the administration respects and adheres to his directives.

Pawar concluded his address with a conditional promise, stating he would resolve a critical local issue during the upcoming Winter Session of the Assembly. He clarified that due to the ongoing Model Code of Conduct, he could not speak explicitly on the matter, but assured the crowd that he would assess the required funding and necessary steps once the code was lifted. He also called upon the public to think beyond caste boundaries and remember the sacrifice of freedom fighters like Hutatma Rajguru.
