Dubai / Navi Mumbai |October 31, 2025: India’s women’s cricket team scripted a golden chapter in the sport’s history by defeating Australia in the Women’s World Cup semifinal, completing a record-breaking chase of 339 runs the highest successful run chase ever in women’s One-Day International history.

Australia, batting first, posted a challenging total of 338 for 6, powered by solid partnerships in the middle order. Chasing such a target in a high-stakes semifinal seemed near impossible, but India’s batting lineup rose to the occasion. Jemimah Rodrigues anchored the innings brilliantly, scoring an unbeaten 127 runs, while Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur provided crucial support with quick half-centuries.
