India Launches Indrajaal Ranger Mobile Anti-Drone Vehicle to Strengthen Security Across Borders and Sensitive Sites

India unveils Indrajaal Ranger, a mobile anti-drone vehicle with AI-based detection and neutralization, enhancing protection for borders, urban areas, airports, and strategic sites while ensuring homegrown defense capabilities.

Hyderabad | 28 November 2025: India has taken a major step in countering drone threats with the launch of the Indrajaal Ranger, a mobile anti-drone patrol vehicle developed by Hyderabad-based Indrajaal Drone Defence. Unlike fixed systems, the Ranger can detect, track, and neutralize drones while on the move, offering security forces enhanced control over borders, urban areas, farmlands, airports, ports, refineries, and military installations.

Equipped with long-range radar and RF sensors, the vehicle can detect drones up to 10 kilometers away, providing crucial reaction time. Its cameras and acoustic sensors deliver 360-degree awareness in all weather conditions. The SkyOS AI platform classifies potential threats, predicts drone paths, and scores risk levels, while the integrated C5ISRT stack allows seamless command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting.

Neutralization is versatile: cyber takeover up to five kilometers, GNSS spoofing and RF jamming within three to four kilometers, and interceptor drones for physical takedown. Its rugged 4×4 chassis enables operation across deserts, hills, urban roads, and farmland, while multiple Rangers can coordinate to secure large areas.

At the launch, CEO Kiran Raju highlighted the importance of self-reliance, stating, “Every drone we stop saves Indian lives. Our mission is to protect airspace and ensure India never depends on others for its security.”

Founded in 2023 under Grene Robotics, Indrajaal Drone Defence leverages over a decade of expertise in AI and autonomous systems. The founders aim to provide homegrown drone defense solutions, marking a strategic boost to India’s security infrastructure.
