Pune, October 17, 2025: The Indian Army has officially opened the registration for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) 55 course, inviting applications from unmarried male candidates aspiring to join as officers. This recruitment drive offers 90 vacancies for the July 2026 batch, providing a prestigious opportunity to serve the nation while pursuing a career in the armed forces.
Eligible candidates must be between 16½ and 19½ years of age as of 1st July 2026, with birth dates ranging from 2nd January 2007 to 1st January 2010. Applicants are required to have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized educational board. Additionally, candidates must have appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 to qualify for the selection process.
The application process is entirely online, and interested candidates must submit their forms through the official Indian Army recruitment portal between 14th October 2025 and 13th November 2025. It is crucial to complete the application process within this window to be considered for the selection.
The selection procedure for TES-55 comprises shortlisting based on JEE Mains 2025 scores, followed by the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview to assess leadership qualities and suitability for a career in the armed forces. Candidates who clear the SSB interview will then undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the physical and medical standards required for service.
Successful candidates will undergo rigorous training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun. Upon completing the training, they will receive a Permanent Commission as officers in the Indian Army, entering one of the most respected professions in the country.
