Indian Army’s BrahMos Unit Successfully Executes Long-Range Precision Strike Mission

The Indian Army’s BrahMos unit carried out a successful long-range supersonic missile launch, validating precision strike capability, operational readiness, and India’s indigenous missile technology under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

Bay of Bengal | December 2, 2025: The Indian Army today conducted a successful combat launch of the BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile from a test range in the Bay of Bengal. The mission involved a coordinated operation between a BrahMos unit of the Southern Command and elements of the Tri-Services Andaman & Nicobar Command.

Equipped with advanced guidance and control systems, the missile achieved high-speed flight stability and engaged the designated target with precision. The launch met all operational objectives under simulated battle conditions, reaffirming the BrahMos unit’s readiness for real-time precision strike operations in emerging battlefield scenarios.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, praised the successful execution, highlighting the unit’s technical competence and operational efficiency. The launch underscores India’s ability to deploy long-range strike systems effectively, strengthening deterrence capabilities.
