The landmark infrastructure project, located on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway stretch near Pune, is being hailed as a major engineering achievement and a critical upgrade to one of the country’s busiest transport corridors.
The bridge has been designed to ease traffic congestion and improve safety on a stretch that has long been considered accident-prone due to sharp curves, steep gradients, and heavy vehicular movement. With a towering central pylon and advanced cable-stayed technology, the structure allows vehicles to bypass difficult terrain, offering smoother and faster travel for commuters, freight operators, and long-distance travelers.

According to project officials, the bridge stands as the tallest cable-stayed structure in India, both in terms of pylon height and overall elevation.
