According to officials, the aircraft was carrying around 160 to 170 passengers at the time of the incident. The pilot reportedly declared an emergency mid-flight after detecting the technical fault, prompting airport authorities in Delhi to activate standard emergency response protocols. The aircraft successfully landed on a single engine, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew members onboard.
Sources indicated that the flight, identified as 6E 579, was operated using a Boeing 737 aircraft that had been wet-leased from a foreign airline.
