Nearly 120 people were injured across Israel as interceptor missile explosions echoed over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv following Iranian missile launches, while drone strikes were also reported at Oman’s Duqm port.

Tel Aviv | 02 March, 2026: Israel witnessed a tense and turbulent night as air raid sirens wailed continuously from the early hours of Sunday, particularly across Jerusalem and central parts of the country. Loud explosions from interceptor missiles shook the skies as Israeli defense systems attempted to neutralize Iranian ballistic missiles heading toward Tel Aviv.

According to Israeli emergency medical services, around 120 people were injured nationwide, with several reported to be in serious condition. A fatality was also confirmed in Tel Aviv late Saturday night. Residents in Jerusalem spent the night in bomb shelters as precautionary measures remained in place. Schools and commercial establishments were shut, leaving streets largely deserted.

Despite the tense atmosphere, church bells rang in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday morning, even as warning sirens continued intermittently. Visuals from Tel Aviv showed civilians taking cover behind walls and structures moments after missile alerts were issued.In a related development, two drone strikes were reported at the commercial port of Duqm in Oman. Local authorities confirmed that one worker sustained injuries, though no fatalities were immediately recorded.

Separately, the US Embassy in Muscat advised its personnel to shelter in place due to ongoing regional developments. American citizens in Oman were urged to remain indoors and stock up on essential supplies including food, water and medicines as a precautionary measure.
