Maharashtra Exam Council Rejects Reports of TET Paper Leak, Calls Allegations Completely False
Maharashtra
The Maharashtra State Examination Council dismissed reports of a ₹3-lakh TET paper leak, stating the 23 November exam was held under strict multi-layered security and no breach or complaint was reported statewide.
Maharashtra | November 26,2027: The Maharashtra State Examination Council has strongly refuted media reports alleging a ₹3-lakh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak and the arrest of a so-called “teacher gang.” Responding to a widely circulated report, Commissioner Anuradha Oak stated that the claims were completely baseless and did not reflect the actual conduct of the examination.
Oak clarified that the TET held on 23 November 2025 was carried out under a tight, multi-layered security system designed to eliminate the possibility of malpractice. The arrangements included state-level and district-level control rooms, sealed and barcode-tagged question paper packets, CCTV-monitored treasuries, armed police deployment, and continuous video recording from the printing stage to the moment the packets were opened inside classrooms.

The council explained that every step in the preparation, transport, and distribution of question papers followed a confidential protocol. Boxes were sealed, logged, and transported under police watch, ensuring that custody was never compromised. Officials added that not a single complaint was reported from any exam centre in Maharashtra regarding tampered seals or unverified handling.
Addressing the Kolhapur incident, the council stated that the alleged case has no connection with the Maharashtra State Examination Council or the TET process. The administration maintained that the entire examination was conducted with full integrity and transparency.
The council has urged citizens, candidates, and media outlets to rely on verified information and avoid circulating unconfirmed claims that could undermine trust in the examination system.
